Date published: 2009-11-09

This has been in the works for weeks but finally Full Tilt Poker have announced that Tom Dwan aka ‘durrrr’ on Full Tilt Poker has become a a member of Team Full Tilt.

Team Full Tilt have some of the very best poker players in the world including Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer and many, many more. Howard Lederer said this about Dwan becoming a member of Team Full Tilt:

“Team Full Tilt doesn’t take adding a team member lightly, but Tom Dwan has proven, through skill and dynamic play, that he will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come. We are proud to count Tom as one of our own.”

Dwan shot to fame in the poker world by crushing the high-stakes cash games at Full Tilt Poker and he even has his own tables on the site. As well as this they created ‘durrrr Challenge’ tables for him to play against Patrik Antonius for their famous online challenge.

It was June 2008 when Team Full Tilt added to their roster, making Patrik Antonius a member. Dwan has been playing with them for years of course, both at the online tables and on television shows such as ‘High Stakes Poker’ and many more.

Recently we reported Dwan had won the largest pot ever won in a televised poker programme during filming for Full Tilt Poker’s ‘Million Dollar Cash Game’, getting paid of by Phil Ivey when he had the nut straight and Ivey had they second nuts. That pot alone was worth $1.1 million and the series is set to air in February.

Dwan has won millions playing poker and is inspiration for young poker players around the world who want to grind up and play full-time, however Dwan is totally fearless and well-known for his aggressive and loose style leaving opponents guessing what he has. We have a full biography of how he blasted through the cash game stakes in our Tom Dwan biography.

Now we will see Dwan wearing Full Tilt Poker logos as he represents them, and he is also expected to be having a blog at Full Tilt Poker which will be exciting for fans because he is pretty quiet in interviews. He will also be taking part in the Full Tilt Poker Academy where pros make videos to help players become better.
