Rush Poker Strategy: Strategy for Rush Poker on Full Tilt Poker

Since Full Tilt Poker launched Rush Poker, it has been the talk of the whole poker community. The exciting new game is exclusive to Full Tilt Poker and players who play at other internet poker sites have been flocking to Full Tilt to take part in the Rush Poker games. But just how should you play and what poker strategy should you use when playing Rush Poker? In this article we give you some advice to help you be a profitable player in it, stick to the basics and you will be winning lots per hour!

What is Rush Poker?

Rush Poker is a new, extremely fast-paced variation of internet poker, and as we have said is exclusive to Full Tilt Poker. Instead of choosing a ring-game table to play at and playing with the same opponents for your whole session, Rush Poker enters you into a ‘pool’ of players. There can be 1,000+ players in that pool (depending on the stakes you choose to play), and once you click ‘join now’ you will be automatically seated at a random table. You will see a ‘quick fold’ button, if you press this you will immediately be moved to a new table so no waiting around for the action to get to you. When playing a hand of Rush Poker, if you fold you are moved immediately, if you play the hand then it plays like a normal hand of poker, and once the hand is over (no matter whether it goes to showdown or not), all players are randomly moved to new tables with new opponents. This happens every hand when playing Rush Poker, and the pace is quite extraordinary!

Rush Poker Strategy

Like any new format/variation of poker, a strategy is needed to be a winning player at the games. Despite what you might think, developing a Rush Poker strategy is simple – play ABC poker. Your main strategy should be play tight and wait for big hands where you will get paid off easily. Sounds too easy? Yes it does, but it works – jus try it! Here are a few things to think about when playing Rush Poker:

No reads

In Rush Poker you can’t develop reads on your opponents because you won’t be familiar with them. You will be playing every hand at a new table, against new players. Unless you have played with a player a lot and know their game well and how they play, it will be impossible for you to know if your opponent is a bluffer or sitting with pocket Aces, and the last thing you want to do is pay someone off when you have a marginal hand. Since you won’t know anything about your opponents at each table you should treat everyone equal and not make any silly moves trying to bluff them. Remember, they won’t know if you are a bluffer or not so keep a tight image and play strong hands aggressively.

Play much tighter

In Rush Poker you should only be playing very strong starting hands. There is absolutely no need to play marginal hands when you can simply hit quick fold and be moved to a new table and dealt a new hand. One mistake I have saw a lot of players make is playing hands such as 7-8 suited. Playing suited connectors in this game is acceptable only if you can do so cheaply, and if you have the ability to get away from the hand. Lots of players will catch an 8 and play the hand to showdown, only to see your opponent turn over pocket Kings or Aces. With more hands per hour, everyone will be dealt strong hands quite a lot, which is why you will see a lot of players just shove all-in. It is just so easy to get aid off with Aces in Rush Poker, of course sometimes your Aces will suffer a bad beat but more often than not, you will be paid off with them. Just remember that everyones ranges will be much tighter because they can just fold and move to a new table, so play cautiously, but play your big hands aggressively.

More hands per hour = more profit

A lot of players from other poker sites, such as PokerStars and PartyPoker have moved over to the Rush Poker tables since it launched. Not only is the game very exciting, but more hands = more profit for winning players who adopt a basic ABC strategy. In Rush Poker most players seem to average around 300 hands per table, per hour! Quite extraordinary, and if you combine this with players multi-tabling then its very easy to play thousands of hands per hour.

There is one major mistake a lot of poker players are making however – playing without rakeback! In Rush Poker, with so many hands per hour, players are paying an exceptional amount in rake, but through InternetPokerHub.com, you can get 27% of that rake back. This amounts to quite a lot of money every month, and break even players can actually profit just from their rakeback. Multi-tabling is perfect for Rush Poker, and if you are playing 2,000 hands per hour at the $0.50/$1 (NL 100) tables, this equals around $100 which you will have paid in rake, if you get rakeback you will be getting $27 per hour back!

If you have any questions about rakeback, don’t hesitate to email me and I will do my best to get you rakeback. Just email me at admin@internetpokerhub.com and I will reply as soon as possible. Please note that if you have an existing Full Tilt account, we cannot get you rakeback, this is for players creating new accounts.
