PartyPoker was once the largest online poker room in the world, but due to pulling out of the U.S market they are now the third largest and now focus on the European market. With great promotions, huge tournaments and lots of game variety it is no wonder PartyPoker is one of the best online poker rooms. PartyPoker offers some of the biggest online tournaments including the $300k guaranteed tournament weekly, and a Monthly Million once a month.

Software
In general PartyPoker has very good software. Players have the ability to take notes on their opponents at the table, and can view their personal statistics such as percentage of hands won etc. In the lobby, table stats are displayed clearly, showing average pot size, and number of hands played per hour which is perfect to help with table selection. Hand histories are saved automatically to players computers and are easily organised into day and month folders. The PartyPoker software is also great for multi-tabling, allowing players to play at up to 12 tables at once with the ability to re-size each table.

Game Variety
PartyPoker has a large player base; therefore they offer a lot of variety to their players. The main games they offer are Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo. No-Limit Texas Hold’em is the most popular, however Omaha has been becoming very popular at PartyPoker lately, with half the players not even knowing how to play it - easy money! Most games are available in No-Limit, Pot-Limit, and Fixed Limit, as well as full-tables, short-handed and heads-up tables.

Ring Game Traffic
Being the third largest online poker room, PartyPoker have games running 24/7. Since most of PartyPoker's players are now European, most traffic is in the evening when people finish work, and you can usually find around 10,000 cash game players. Most cash games are concentrated to NLHE, however recently there has been an influx of traffic to Omaha cash games where play is very loose.

Tournaments
PartyPoker offers lots of guaranteed tournaments, as well as various other daily tourneys and lots of freerolls. Most tournaments focus on NLHE, however there is a few daily Omaha tournaments. The tournaments all vary in buy-in levels, from $1 tourneys to hundreds of dollars. The biggest weekly Party Poker tournament is the Sunday $300k guaranteed, and every first Sunday of the month they have their Monthly Million, which attracts some of the best online tournament players in the world. As well as all the guaranteed tourneys, PartyPoker offers a vast amount of qualifiers to big live tournaments including the World Series of Poker.

Soft Competition
PartyPoker is well known for having plenty of fish at their low-mid stakes games. Unlike many other poker rooms, the games at PartyPoker are soft even up to the $2/$4 limit. Recently there have also been a lot of players trying the Omaha cash games, and half of them don’t even seem to know how to play. So if you are a good poker player I suggest trying the PartyPoker cash games where you can earn a fortune. The tournament games are a little tougher, especially at the bigger buy-in levels which attract some of the best tournament players, however tourneys at the lower buy-in range are pretty soft.

Telephone support is highly recommended though, they are extremely quick to answer and very friendly. E-mail support does take a little longer but they still get issues sorted very quickly.
