Bluefire Poker Review – Bluefire Poker Training Full Review
Bluefire Poker was launched in early 2009 and has already established itself as a front-runner in the poker training world. They are regarded as having the highest quality poker training videos in the world, mainly due to the man behind the site – Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond. Phil is regarded as one of the best poker players in the world and plays at the highest stakes available online, at Full Tilt Poker. Unlike most training sites which create large numbers of low-quality videos per month just to make up the numbers, Bluefire Poker publish less videos, but each is of the highest quality available with Phil Galfond reviewing each video to ensure the quality before it is launched on the site.
COACHES
Bluefire Poker have some of the best NLHE and PLO online poker players in the world including – Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond, Niman ‘Samoleus’ Kenkre, Jason ‘PBJaxx’ Senti, Martin ‘Giggy’ Fournier Giguere, Don ‘SoCalQuest’ Nguyen, and Ryan ‘Fees’ Fee.
VIDEO CONTENT
6-MAX
Bluefire Poker places a lot of emphasis on 6-max videos and covers all level of stakes which is great no matter what level your game is at. For low stakes games, Don ‘SoCalQuest’ Nguyen produces most of the videos of very high quality and it’s almost like he is coaching you one-to-one. For mid-stakes 6-max games, Martin ‘Giggy’ Fournier Giguere produces quite a lot of the videos, and he has also created several video series for this section including ‘3-bet pots’ and ‘deep stacked play’. For the highest stakes Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond has produced a few series of 6-max videos including a $1k NL and $2k NL session.
HEADS-UP
The Bluefire Poker team are regarded as some of the toughest heads-up players in the world, especially Phil Galfond. Their heads-up video library includes several high-stakes videos produced by Phil, including a sensational six part series which sees him play against 2008 WSOP Main Event Champion, Peter Eastgate – a series not to be missed! Phil has also produced videos of sessions against David Benyamine and David Singer. There are also a lot of small-mid stakes videos produced by the other coaches so players at every level can benefit from the heads-up video library. These heads-up videos and the quality of every video is what set Bluefire apart from other training sites.
POT-LIMIT OMAHA
The Pot-Limit Omaha videos produced by Bluefire are some of the best training videos on the market and perfect for players no matter what stakes they play. Don ‘SoCalQuest’ Nguyen has created some superb videos titled ‘The transition from NLHE to PLO’, which has been very popular among Bluefire members. PLO has become the game of choice for many poker players and this video series is perfect for players who are considering playing PLO. Another popular series is produced by Phil Galfond which sees him play PLO heads-up against ‘whitelime’, a Deuces Cracked coach.

CONCLUSION
Bluefire Poker is still a relatively new poker training site considering how long the others have been around. Despite this however, their quality and standard of videos produced have already propelled them to the top of the training sites available. The fact that Phil Galfond reviews every video before it is released to members is very comforting because you can always expect the highest standard of content. The only let down is that currently their focus only seems to be on NLHE and PLO cash games, but as the site grows I’m sure Phil will be bringing on coaches who specialise in that area. Overall you just can’t beat Bluefire in terms of quality and content.
