Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond vs Isildur1: Galfond reviews $1.6 million winning session
Just a few weeks ago Phil Galfond (‘OMGClayAiken’ on Full Tilt Poker) took on Swedish sensation Isildur1 at the high stakes poker tables. Galfond proved victorious after a marathon session and ended up with a $1.6 million profit.
While some people are still asking who is Isildur1, no-one can deny the extreme impact he has had on the games. Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond is no stranger to high stakes action however. Just a few years ago he was regarded by many as the best online NLHE player with the majority of the pros switching to the PLO games because of players like Galfond making it so hard to win. Galfond also made the switch – a very successful one in fact. He went on to crush the PLO games and even won a WSOP bracelet in the 2008 $5,000 buy-in PLO tournament winning $817,718 and his first WSOP bracelet. In 2009 he kept a quieter profile in the online games because he was busy launching his very own poker training site – Bluefire Poker.
In the recent session between Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond and Isildur1 the pair began by playing $300/$600 NLHE and PLO but then switched up to the highest stakes – $500/$1000. Here is the chat which took place at the end of that session:

Notice that despite losing $1.6 million to Galfond, Isildur1 still says gg (good game), however it was Galfond stating he had recorded some of the session and thanking the Full Tilt railbirds for their support which caught peoples attention.
