luckexpress defeats ‘durrrr’ in Live Durrrr Challenge
Italian Marcello Marigliano aka ‘luckexpress’ on Full Tilt Poker has pocketed $522,500 of Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan’s money. He finished their 500-hand match up $22.5k from the $250,000 starting stacks both players started with. This meant he won Dwan’s $500,000 buy-in for being ahead after 500 hands and winning the match after 12 long hours.
The two players are no strangers to each other and have had played lots of sessions against each other on Full Tilt Poker. The match began with them playing no-Limit Hold’em but throughout the match both players agreed to switch to Pot-Limit Omaha for two hours only.
Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan had more success at PLO but still couldn’t manage to close the gap and after the stacks were counted luckexpress was announced the winner with $22.5k profit and claimed victory over Dwan – not bad for 12 hours work!
Now Dwan will have to hope he can be victorious against Ilari ‘Ziigmund’ Sahamies in their Pot-Limit Omaha match before he takes on Sammy ‘Any Two’ George in No-Limit Hold’em. Things haven’t been good for Dwan in recent weeks, the only highlight was him signing with Team Full Tilt.
